Experience
In addition to extensive college course work and degrees earned, I have two decades of college teaching experiences in seven states ranging from community colleges, to state universities, to selective liberal arts colleges. I know what it takes to get into the school of your choice, and how to succeed once you get there. My career goal was a tenured position as history professor at a liberal arts college, but bad timing, bad decisions, and bad luck has placed that goal out of my reach. Despite publishing and teaching experience, all of my teaching experience has been temporary positions, and now my references are old, employers see me as only a temporary hire, and my decades of experience make me too expensive for temporary jobs. Tutoring will allow me to make the best use of extensive academic experience.

Hobbies
My interests are military games, reading everything I can find, and listening to public radio news. I have also done a lot of genealogy, tracing the various branches of my family as far back as possible. I am a history, philosophy, political science nerd, but; my father was a high school football and baseball coach, resulting in an academic - sports fan mix. I follow the Gophers, Lynx, Twins, and Vikings religiously.
