Private tutor in Minneapolis, MN
University of Minnesota-Twin Cities - BS, Mechanical Engineering , William Mitchell College of Law - JD, Law
I graduated cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law after receiving my bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota. Since then, I've practiced law for nearly a decade, primarily in the area of criminal law. I've had a successful legal career and enjoy the courtroom, but have continued to tutor college students and returning adults preparing for the LSAT. I once taught for a large test preparation company, and have significant experience teaching both classes and individual tutoring sessions. I loved law school, and so really enjoy helping law school hopefuls to achieve their goals. Who knows? I may even be empowering a powerful future advocate. My legal education and legal practice have provided me with a perspective on the practical applications of the LSAT that inform my teaching. I'm also very approachable and work within each individual's learning framework. Though I enjoy the test generally, I most enjoy Logical Reasoning, which accounts for half of an applicant's score. Improving the skills that lead to a higher Logical Reasoning score assists a student in all areas of life, from everyday critical thinking to the potential for success in the law school classroom. When I'm not pursuing one of my two careers, I take advantage of the many opportunities offered by the Uptown Minneapolis area: visiting the lakes, walking, jogging, biking, and canoeing. I also like to read, watch sports, and follow current events.
