I'm a patient, optimistic, and encouraging tutor with a sense of humor that middle school and elementary school level children enjoy. I like to work with students on math topics and explain why concepts are important and how they are used in the real world. I help students understand math, but I also help them understand their own learning tendencies and talents. I'm an experienced math teacher at the middle school level, and I worked with many students who are anxious about math or felt that they didn't like it. My bachelor's degree is in elementary education, and my concentration was math at the middle school level. I really enjoy working with middle school students and helping them learn new things. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, watching television, pets, sports, and photography.
