A seasoned educator, I have been tutoring, teaching, and coaching for more than 10 years. I teach languages such as English and French and math, reading, writing, literature, grammar, and also special education. For 4 years, I have worked at a private school serving kids with dyslexia, ADHD, or high-functioning autism who also exhibited gifted attributes. Patient and compassionate, I was able to provide the students with a friendly environment and positive atmosphere. They had a chance to do well in school and believe they could excel despite being told they were different from other kids their age. This role was highly rewarding for me.I haven't only taught in classrooms. I tutored business executives one on one for a year, while in Paris. They were there to work on conversational English, but my compassion and patience help them get better at the language and gain self-confidence at the same time. Focusing on language arts, I've also worked with students on algebra, history, and personal finance. I studied at The Citadel and University of Phoenix - Honolulu Campus. Now I reside in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In my free time I pursue my interests of yoga and meditation, reading, and keeping up on current events.
