I received my bachelor's degree in German studies from the University of Minnesota. I spent a year in Germany enjoying a full immersion experience and improving my German language skills at a local university. After graduation, I began working in fields where I was able to continue utilizing the German language. I find languages fascinating, and have studied Latin, Greek, Spanish and Ojibwa.I have worked with elementary-age students in a summer camp that focused on teaching the German language, and as a teaching assistant for an after-school program focused on German language development for elementary and middle school students. I believe my educational background and professional background have prepared me to work with any student interested in learning more about the German language. I recognize that students have different learning styles and am well-prepared to work with students in a way which will make language acquisition more accessible to my student. I have tools and techniques to help students who are struggling with vocabulary, writing skills, grammar, reading comprehension, and sentence structure.In addition to tutoring students in all levels of German, I tutor English, reading, writing, essay editing, literature, and grammar and mechanics.During my free time, I am an avid reader and book collector.
