I love to tutor, and I believe that it should be a relationship where the student and teacher maintain an open dialogue. I believe all students learn in a different way.I have had a great deal of experience tutoring in informal settings, including teaching the piano and working with students on their English. I have also instructed students on several aspects of nature using outdoor activities such as hikes, bird watching, and determining the different types of wildflowers. I believe these experiences have been not only fun, but brought out a natural curiosity as well. I can tutor students in anatomy, biology, Spanish 1-4, earth science, environmental science, geography, ecology, science, social studies, social sciences, languages, zoology, plant biology, and philosophy. I also assist students with test prep, including working with them on the SAT (including verbal, math, writing, and critical reading) and ACT (English, math, reading, science, and writing). I work with gifted students as well.I am a graduate of Augustana College, located in Rock Island, IL.When I'm not working, I enjoy being in the great outdoors, and love to hike, go running, and am very much into botany. I also love music, and like to play the piano, guitar, and ukulele, and write songs.
