Experience
I went to the University of Michigan to earn my bachelor's degree in English. I then gained experience in education is an English teacher at the high school level, and as a college counselor. I'm now attending the University of Minnesota for a masters degree in their writing program. As a tutor, I enjoy helping students refine their writing skills and develop their voice, but I also like to help with reading comprehension, literacy, and other topics related to the English language. I believe every student can make great progress in their learning with a strong mentor providing guidance. To provide successful tutoring, I get to know the student first so I can understand their interests and needs. I then began the process of helping student develop their own learning skills. My goal is for students to come to a full understanding of the subject while I provide patience and fun along the way.
