I am a senior at Brigham Young University Idaho. I am studying Studio art with a printmaking emphasis and a minor in advertising. My GPA in my area of study is 3.2. I've also studied at Minneapolis Community and Technical College and at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
Experience
Classes related to art I've taken include: Graphic Design, Printmaking, Expressive drawing, Color and Design, Ancient to Egyptian art history, Modern to contemporary art history, Typography, Drawing, Head drawing, Twentieth Century art history, and Book arts. Classes in other fields include: Public Speaking, environmental stewardship, Developing world, Humanities, Sociology, and Visual Media. I am also a graphic designer and silk screener at a screen printing shop.

Hobbies
I love food, art, socializing, and watching movies. I am a college student still and still working and learning more everyday so I understand the importance of getting help and the stress of school and life. I am not going to lie, I personally feel like I'm mediocre at everything but art. To me to be able to be creative and make things beautiful is a game and a challenge and why I excel and experiment a lot with it and want to get better. I chose to make art a career and because of that I've been learning and finding ways to make that dream come true. I've found that to be successful in art means I have to be good in other areas and to develop those skills. For example, I look at tutorials and practice as often as I can to be up-to-date with my programs. I'm building good habits. I also want to find work to do so I build my communication skills, network, and research. I also have to advertise myself because I can't afford to pay someone to advertise for me. I have learned more about markets and advertising strategies so I can target the audience I want. While promoting and advertising myself I've learned to look at other art and learn copyright laws or at least the basics for my protection; both in respects for others and for the right of my personal work. I can work in person Tuesdays and Thursdays after 4pm and online any day after 4pm.
