Experience
I love making philosophy understandable to non-thinking philosophy students. Some people excel at philosophy because their minds work that way. But this is not true of most people and I get a joy out of breaking this stuff down for people who are smart but just don't think like philosophers. Philosophy is within the range of every student’s intellect to grasp formally since it is an activity all humans engage in praxis anyway. In every course I teach I use examples from current events to show how philosophy relates to the real world. It is important to me that I “speak the language” of my students, given the various backgrounds they come from.
