I am very excited to tutor students and have the opportunity to help them succeed. I have bachelor's degrees in English and Religious Studies from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. I hope to go to graduate school to study literacy and education. My goal is to eventually become an English professor.My tutoring experience includes a year as a volunteer at the Sumner Library in Minneapolis, helping students with Social Sciences, Humanities, Math, and English. I have led a reading circle for English as a Second Language learners and tutored privately for two girls in elementary school. One of the girls was visually impaired, and I helped her learn Braille.I tutor Algebra, Geometry, Elementary Math, Pre-Calculus, ESL/ELL, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Phonics, American Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, College Essays, American History, Psychology, Geography, Public Speaking, Religious Studies, Social Studies, and the Social Sciences. I can also help students prepare for standardized testing like the ACT and GRE, and I'm happy to tutor AP- and IB-level classes.In my spare time, I read, write, and play guitar.
