Private tutor in Minneapolis, MN
University of Minnesota-Twin Cities - BS, Physics; Mathematics
I earned my physics and mathematics degree with a minor in astrophysics from the University of Minnesota. During my years of formal education, some of my teaching and tutoring experience included helping friends with their calculus homework, the formal role of lecture assistant in precalculus courses, and grading astrophysics homework. I have just about five years of experience teaching and tutoring, with a specialty in math. I enjoy guiding students in upper high school to early college levels. I believe math to be universally crucial for success in most professional fields. Patience and encouragement reveal the core of my work. I strive to unlock confidence in the student to apply what they learn in their academic pursuits. I take great joy in helping students understand the intricacies of the subject, and it can really be fun for the learner to grasp the myriad ways the material can function. I observe that many students just need confidence, and I help them realize their potential. In my spare time, my preferred activities are playing board games, hanging out with good friends, and camping. I am an active member of the Catholic student group with my university, and I mentor numerous students in deepening their faith.
