I am currently a senior Elementary Education Major with an emphasis in Special Education at the University of Northwestern - St. Paul. I am student teaching in a 3rd grade classroom.
Experience
As a tutor, I am committed to develop and adapt fun and engaging lessons and activities that meet the individual learning styles of each child. I have a passion for giving children the tools and encouragement they need to reach their highest potential and to have a passion for learning. I have loved working with children in a variety of capacities. I have taken college-level courses on how to best teach math, reading, writing, health, social studies, science, and literature. These classes have given me practical ways on how to adapt instruction in order encourage each individual student. I am currently student teaching. During student teaching, I have had the opportunity to teach numerous lessons. I have gained much experience developing and teaching a variety of lessons that are planned to meet the individual needs of the students. I am intentional to include learning activities that will effectively motivate the students to learn. I have also gained experience through other teaching field experiences in Kindergarten, 1st grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and Special Education classrooms. In addition to my college teaching experiences, I have been a private tutor for elementary children, an English teacher in Thailand, a Personal Care Assistant, and a nanny. I am a very responsible, reliable, and well prepared tutor that has a passion for teaching young learners.

Hobbies
I absolutely love working with kids. Being a tutor allows me to engage with children as well as pass on to them my love for learning. It is my desire as a tutor to see the students grow and learn to have a passion for learning. One of my hobbies is music. I enjoy playing the guitar, violin, and singing. Also, I love anything in the great outdoors, including hiking, walking, biking, playing tennis, and more. Also, I will never turn down the opportunity to sit down and read a good book!
