Experience
I am an ambitious tutor with a love for the sciences. Personally, I love tutoring chemistry and biology the most, but I'm here to help students in a variety of subjects including algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, elementary math, middle school math, trigonometry, physics, physiology, ecology, and more. I'm also available for test prep for the ACT and MCAT. I am currently pursuing my degree in Genetics, Cell Biology, and Development from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. My plan is to continue on to medical school after I complete my undergraduate studies and to become an academic physician. I have worked with students in the past as a math tutor at a high school in Minnesota and as a saxophone teacher. As a college student I have worked in labs focusing on cancer research, an experience that I will bring to my tutoring of the sciences. As a tutor I facilitate an engaged, active learning style. I believe that using example problems is the most effective way to solidify a student's understanding of the material. When I'm not studying for my classes or tutoring, I enjoy playing the saxophone and being active. I love sports, traveling, and exercising. I'm also passionate about Netflix.
