I am majoring in pre-med biology at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. Ultimately, I plan to become a doctor. I have six years of tutoring experience, working with students ranging from four years of age to adult students as old as 55. The tutoring experience that taught me the most was tutoring troubled secondary school students who were performing poorly in class. Many of the students came from dysfunctional family settings and/ or were never taught good study habits. By working closely with them in a patient manner, I was able to show them that learning can be fun. Some of the areas I can assist with include math, science, reading, writing, Spanish, social science, and more. More specifically, I can assist with algebra, calculus, pre-algebra, pre-calculus, geometry, and more. Of all of the subjects I teach, my favorite is math. I love the universal nature of math and feel great when a student overcomes math challenges with my assistance. When I am not tutoring, I love to play sports such as tennis and football. I also love to eat and play video games. I am also a member of my college's lacrosse team.
