Private tutor in Minneapolis, MN
University of Minnesota-Twin Cities - BSc, Aerospace Engineering & Mechanics , University of Minnesota-Twin Cities - MS, Aerospace Engineering & Mechanics
I studied Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Minnesota, for both my bachelor's degree and my master's degree. While I was in the graduate school program, I became a teacher's assistant for lab sessions in our Aerospace department. I help to teach methods of experimentation, instruments of aerospace technology, and elasticity in aerospace. In order to effectively connect with a student, you have to be able to "speak the same language." Talking in technical terms only doesn't work for some, while going over proper definitions helps for others. Making the lesson relatable to the student heightens the possibility of success. I have the most experience tutoring engineering, science, and math. My students that I tutor in math can range from beginner algebra to college calculus and statistics. I help with elementary school math students as well. I can also help with SAT Math prep for those who will be applying to college soon. Test preparation is important for applying to graduate and undergraduate school, therefore, students need to get the proper tools through tutoring prior to application. Along with my teaching pursuits, I like to listen to jazz music and I enjoy learning about other cultures. When I get the chance, I enjoy traveling the world.
