Hannah M.
Private tutor in Minneapolis, MN
Education
Sophomore at the University of Minnesota studying Communications with a focus on rhetorical theory and Global Studies with a concentration on Human Rights and Social Justice in the Islamic World. I am an honors student with a 3.9 GPA and I plan to graduate Magna Cum Laude.
Experience
-Tutored students, including special education students, since my Junior year of high school. -Speech Team captain; I assisted students to edit and perfect their speeches and performance. -Speech and Debate judge for Roseville Area High School and New Ulm High School. I am super excited about this opportunity to tutor. I met with a tutor in grade school when I was struggling with math--because of her, I came to really enjoy learning. I completely understand that everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses, and I think I could use my assets to help others who may struggle in those areas. I really enjoy teaching and watching others improve--for the last two years, I have worked at a group home with mentally and physically disabled individuals to help them live more independently. Whether its my job, judging, or coaching, I have always had a passion for assisting others' success. My ACT score was a 31, which is in the 98th percentile. Reading: 36 English: 34 Science: 28 Math: 27
