Alix D.
Private tutor in Minneapolis, MN
Education
Sophomore ESL - Education major at Hamline University My availability is very negotiable- the times listed are very general and vary according to my work schedule. If you want to set up a regular weekly appointment or similar arrangement, I can change my work availability.
Experience
- Volunteer ACT tutor in high school, ACT score 31 - Debate coach for Roseville High School - Staff at K-8 school program- supervisory & homework help - Tutored a Century College student (whose first language is Hmong) in writing I want to be a tutor because I genuinely enjoy doing it! As an education major, I definitely have a passion for learning and teaching others, and I have experience with it at a variety of age levels. I have very strong English and writing skills and got full points on the ACT Reading and Writing tests, as well as 5s on the AP Literature and AP Composition tests in high school. It's also a good thing to do part time, as I pay for a big chunk of my own school :) Note for ACT tutoring: while I can help you with the math portion of the ACT, my strong points are English, Writing, and Science and you truly would be better off finding a math specific tutor if that's what you need :)
