Experience
I am available for summer tutoring in all subjects, grades K-8. I am currently a fourth grade teacher. Prior to this position, I served as a full-time K-3 Minnesota Reading Corps tutor at an elementary school in St. Cloud. I have at my disposal numerous reading interventions that have proven incredibly effective getting youth to grade level reading standards. I have tutored 50+ students in this role, as a private in-home tutor, and as an employee at a Kumon tutoring center. I got a 30 on my ACT, with a 36 (perfect) on the English section. I have taken 8 years of Spanish (including a semester abroad), numerous college-level science classes (including Biology, Physics, Chemistry, etc.), and math courses up through AP Calculus. I took a wide range of advanced courses in high school, and I am a competent writer with excellent editing skills. I have a wide range of skills and interests, and I love working with children! I I am very friendly, sociable, and able to adapt to new situations. If I don't know something, I seek out the answer quickly. I am always willing to learn to help my students in any way I can!
