Experience
I have an innate curiosity to learn as much is I possibly can. I'm always trying to figure out how things work or learn something new. This enthusiasm shows up as a teacher and tutor as well. I derive a lot of satisfaction from helping people realize their academic potential. I can work with my students as a team, so I focus on building rapport with them and understanding their interests, goals, personality, and needs. I believe strong communication is a key to a productive tutoring environment, and I want to have open discussions and consistent feedback for the student and myself. I identify how a student learns so that I can teach to them using a corresponding teaching method. I can assist students in elementary and middle school math, geometry, pre-calculus, algebra one and two, English, grammar, biology, chemistry, physics, writing, essays, music theory, art, and test preparation for the ACT, SAT, and other exams. In my spare time, I like to listen to music, cook, hike, bike, swim, and play mini golf.
