Experience

Hi! I'm Nicole and I am going into my Junior year at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities. I am an honors student with a double major in Spanish and Communications. In 2016 I graduated from Sartell High School with 46 college credits from a variety of subjects. As a student, I feel that I could connect and relate to other students in need of tutoring in a way that makes the process both enjoyable and rewarding. I have had a lot of experience preparing myself for exams, papers, standardized tests, and more that I would love to pass on! Additionally, Public Speaking and AP Lit and Comp are both subjects that I thoroughly enjoy and am well equipped to tutor. Spanish is my main focus, and something that I have a wide-reaching knowledge about. In March of 2015, 2017, and 2018 (and likely 2019 as well) I have gone on a medical mission trip to Huehuetenango, Guatemala as a Spanish interpreter with Helps International. I help run the triage center, and interpret for patients and Helps volunteers. Because of this, I am well experienced in communicating with both native and non-native speakers effectively.

In my free time I like to attempt to cook, read, and watch videos of cute dogs on Youtube. I also love practicing my Spanish with friends and roommates as well by watching telenovelas on Netflix. I also enjoy doing competitive speech. I was on the Sartell High School team for 3 years, and now compete with the University of Minnesota team.
