Experience
I am a recent graduate of the University of Dallas with a degree in chemistry. During my time at UD, I worked for the chemistry department as a tutor for other undergraduates, and during the summers I worked as a tutor for high school students in range of subjects. I have also worked as a research chemist at both UCR and the University of Minnesota, presenting some of my research at the National Chemistry Convention in 2009. I worked as a TA and chemistry tutor at the University of Minnesota while studying for my M.S. degree in chemistry which I completed in 2013. After graduating, I worked as a high school math and science teacher for two years. I have the most extensive experience in the physical sciences and math, but I also have substantial education in many humanities (literature, art, philosophy, Latin, Spanish, etc.) due to the rigorous core education at the University of Dallas and the electives I opted to take. I am most strongly prepared to tutor in the following subject areas, but other subjects may be available upon request. - Chemistry, Physics and other sciences - Mathematics (Algebra 1 and 2, Trigonometry) - Writing Basic Computer Code (Google Apps Script, Fortran, Postscript) - Literature and Writing - College Applications
