Experience
I'm a future mathematics instructor who is excited about gaining more teaching experience and about helping my students to achieve high goals. Right now, I'm enrolled at the University of Minnesota in the Master of Education program. I hope that this program will help me to secure my license to teach math in secondary education. For three years, I have worked in public schools in Minnesota, as a tutor for many different math courses. The courses that I have taught range from Algebra to Calculus. I have also worked as an Algebra and Geometry professor at Southwest High School in the Minneapolis area. My experience in the classroom has prepared me to develop strong student-tutor relationships with students from all backgrounds. I can help students with regular coursework all the way to test preparation for Minnesota schools and for college entrance examinations. I will use my knowledge to help students to improve their academic skills and help them find school more enjoyable. When I am not working on my degree or tutoring, I am backpacking and camping all over. I am a kid at heart and I like to play pick-up games of sports and board games on my time off.
