Experience
Rate Negotiable. Tutored math through high school, received Peer Tutor Award in 2009 AP Calculus AB: 5 A's in Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calc AB, Calculus II The moment of recognition in a student's mind after they finally grasp a concept I have been attempting to present is one of the most rewarding experiences I have yet to experience. As a lover of math and teaching math, I would like to use this skill to overcome the financial burden of earning a degree. I taught myself math throughout high-school, and as a result have a unique ability to explain things in a way a student can understand. In addition to tutoring during my peers, I taught chess at my local public library and hosted chess tournaments, volunteered in a Big Brother Big Sister program, and created a summer program for elementary students called Science Explorers in which I used hands on experiments to present basic scientific concepts.
